Angela Brooks-Horn
Registered Psychologist

I’m a registered psychologist with over 25 years of experience supporting adults through life’s many challenges and transitions. While I work with a wide range of adult clients, I have a particular passion for working with women navigating the peri- and menopausal stages of life; a time that can feel both complex and deeply transformative. My approach is holistic and client-led, meaning I take the time to understand the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Clients often describe me as compassionate, down-to-earth, and genuine. I bring warmth, curiosity, and empathy to every session, and I’m not afraid to use a little humour when it helps. I focus on helping people build the skills and strategies they need to move through challenges and live a life that feels authentic and aligned with their values.

Outside the therapy room, I love being in nature — whether that’s walking, skiing, or behind the camera capturing the beauty of nature. I'm also a committed yoga practitioner and am currently completing my Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training, adding another layer to my holistic approach to wellbeing.

About You

If you're navigating emotional challenges or seeking deeper clarity and support, you're not alone — and you don’t have to do it all on your own. I work with people who are ready to explore what’s going on beneath the surface, and who are looking for meaningful, lasting change.

You may be experiencing:

  • Peri-menopausal or Menopausal symptoms – Feeling overwhelmed with anxiety coming out of nowhere, fluctuating moods and highly irritable, questioning your identity, trouble sleeping, constant exhaustion, and relationship strains.

  • Emotional Overwhelm & Sensitivity – Feeling emotions deeply or intensely, sometimes finding them hard to manage or understand.

  • Low Self-Esteem & Confidence – A sense of not being good enough, feeling invisible, or struggling to believe in your own worth.

  • Uncertainty Around Identity – Feeling lost, disconnected, or unsure of who you are or where you belong.

  • Depression & Low Mood – A sense of heaviness, flatness, or lack of direction and energy in daily life.

  • Anxiety & Inner Tension – Persistent worry, restlessness, or a sense of unease that makes it hard to feel settled or calm.

  • Trauma & Emotional Wounds – Past or recent experiences that continue to impact your sense of safety, trust, or wellbeing.

  • Life Purpose & Meaning – A longing for direction, clarity, or a deeper connection to what truly matters to you.

  • Relationship & Communication Difficulties – Patterns of conflict, disconnection, or confusion in your relationships, with a desire for more fulfilling connection.

  • Stress, Overwhelm & Burnout – Feeling stretched too thin, constantly exhausted, and stuck in survival mode without room to breathe.

  • Grief & Loss – Navigating the pain of losing someone or something meaningful and making space for healing through the waves of sorrow, confusion, or change.

If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to get in touch. Together, we can explore what’s going on and how to move toward greater balance, clarity, and connection — in a way that feels safe, respectful, and tailored to your unique needs.
